How to automatically send a coupon after a form submission with Zapier

Someone fills out a form on your website. A few seconds later, they get a unique coupon code in their inbox. No manual work, no shared codes. That's the Zapier + Coupon Carrier workflow.

It works with Typeform, Google Forms, Jotform, Gravity Forms, or any form builder that connects to Zapier. This post walks through the setup and the use cases where it makes the most sense.

The workflow

A visitor fills out a form. Zapier detects the new submission and triggers a Zap. The Zap calls Coupon Carrier to either send a code email or generate a Redeem Link. The respondent gets a unique, single-use code by email within seconds.

Each code is tied to one person. It can't be reused. If you use Redeem Links instead of plain codes, the voucher can also be redeemed in-store with a QR scan.

Step-by-step setup

1. Set up your form

Create your form in whatever tool you use. The only required field is email, since Coupon Carrier needs it to deliver the code.

2. Create the Zap

In Zapier, set your form tool as the trigger. Choose the "New Submission" or "New Entry" event, connect your account, and pick the specific form.

3. Add Coupon Carrier as the action

Pick "Send a Code Email" if you want Coupon Carrier to handle the email. Pick "Create a Redeem Link" if you want a voucher page with a QR code the customer can show in person.

4. Map the email field and test

Map the respondent's email from the form trigger to the Coupon Carrier action. Select the configuration you created in the Coupon Carrier dashboard. Run a test, then publish.

Where this works well

Lead capture forms. Someone fills out a form, you get their email, they get a discount code. Each code is unique, so you can track how many leads actually converted.

Survey incentives. You're running a customer satisfaction survey and want to thank respondents. A unique code after submission is a better incentive than a shared one that leaks onto coupon sites.

Event registration. Attendees fill out a form and immediately get a voucher for a free drink, merch pickup, or sponsor perk they can redeem at the event.

Contest entries. Everyone who enters gets a consolation prize, a unique code for a small discount. Since each code works once, you don't lose control of how many get used.
