A customer just bought something. That's the best moment to give them a reason to come back. With Zapier and Coupon Carrier, you can send a unique coupon code after every purchase, automatically. It works with Stripe, Shopify, PayPal, Gumroad, or any payment platform on Zapier.
This post covers the workflow, the setup, and the use cases where post-purchase coupons make the most sense.
A customer completes a purchase. Zapier detects the sale and triggers a Zap. The Zap calls Coupon Carrier, which sends a unique code or Redeem Link to the customer by email. Every buyer gets their own code. It can't be forwarded, shared, or reused.
If you use Redeem Links, the coupon can also be redeemed in person at a store or event.
In Zapier, create a new Zap. Set your payment tool as the trigger. For Stripe, use "New Successful Payment." For Shopify, "New Order." For PayPal, "New Sale."
Pick "Send a Code Email" if you want Coupon Carrier to email the code directly. Pick "Assign a Code" if you want to grab a code and use it in a later Zapier step, like adding it to a confirmation email from another tool.
Map the buyer's email from the payment trigger to the Coupon Carrier action. Select the configuration you set up in Coupon Carrier, which controls the email content and code list.
Run a test to confirm the code lands. Then publish. Every future purchase will fire the Zap and deliver a unique code.

Post-purchase retention. Every buyer gets a "10% off your next order" code. Since each one is unique, you can see exactly how many people actually come back, not just how many codes you sent.
Digital product fulfillment. Sell software licenses, access codes, or gift cards. After payment, Coupon Carrier pulls a unique key from a pre-imported list and emails it to the buyer.
Cross-sell. Someone buys Product A. A Zap sends them a discount code for Product B. You can track which cross-sell codes get redeemed and which products drive the most repeat purchases.
Online-to-offline. An online purchase triggers a voucher that can be redeemed at a physical location. The code works once, staff scan it, and you have a verified in-store redemption tied to an online sale.
